KHEOPS has experience providing comprehensive engineering and architectural consulting services for a wide variety of clients including clinics, hospital complexes, medical office buildings and teaching hospitals. The healthcare field has many sensitive aspects that KHEOPS prides itself on respecting and accommodating including confidentiality, maintaining sterile environments, life safety, access maintenance, comfort areas and space planning for both growth and consolidation.

Projects have included:

	VA Medical Center, Mental Health Improvements, Birmingham, AL The project is a 4-story addition to the existing hospital. Located at 19^th Street S. between University Blvd and 7^th Avenue, it consists of approximately 24,000 SF of clinical spaces, offices and meeting rooms. The client required that the overall building design scheme replicate the Specialty Care Expansion completed by a previous A&E team. The project cost was $6.2 million. KHEOPS provided architectural, civil, structural, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical engineering services.
	Oncology Clinic Renovation, VA Medical Center – Birmingham, AL Provided the architectural, mechanical, plumbing, structural and electrical design along with the development of construction drawings and management services for this design-build package. The renovation included 15 rooms, which consist of treatment, examination, reception, file, and waiting rooms.
	UAB Hospital Annex #1 Addition- Birmingham, AL Executive Architect for this project for The University of Alabama at Birmingham. Retained to complete the schematic design drawings and a design-build bid package for this 2.7 million dollar, three-story facility. The addition consisted of clinical facilities for OB-GYN health care and research projects as well as administrative offices.
